We based Tyler's astronomy this year off of the Apologia Astronomy. It had some good reading and ideas for experiments. Learning how different types of craters are made
Learning about the magnetic pull in the earth by making a compass.
We just did a crater thing like that this week. Well, probably not JUST like that since my kiddo is 4. And at the end he was covered in flour. Covered. But we dropped stuff! ; )
We love the above quote from William Butler Yeats. We want our children to have an education that leaves them desiring to dig deeper and inspires them to be life-long learners. We feel blessed to have a fireside seat to the action. This is more than just school for us, it is cherishing and enjoying our short time together and helping these amazing kids become who they are meant to be. We know we will have some rough days along with the good. Our plan is to cherish the memories from the good, and to recognize the lessons and grow from the rough! This blog is to document some of our learning and also to give you a peek at what we have going on.
You are a homeschooler
Are you raising any small people in your home? Guess what...you are homeschooling. Even if you are not providing a full-time education, you are training and teaching them on so many different levels. This blog is for all homeschoolers, full-time or not!
